John Wilde attended the inaugural meeting of the International Committee on GNSS (ICG) as a representative of the CGSIC to review and discuss Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and their potential applications. The event was hosted by the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs (UN-OOSA) and was attended by representatives of the major satellite navigation current and planned service providers from around the world including: GLONASS (Russia) COMPASS (China), GAGAN (India), Galileo/EGNOS (ESA - the European Space Agency), the IAG Reference Frame Sub-Commission for Europe, the International Association of Institutes of Navigation, the International GNSS Service.
